Here in the Southaven/Olive Branch Mississippi area visiting a sick family member -- any good non-chain places to eat here of note?

TIA...

Memphis bbq company right off I-55 best ribs you will ever have in your life. The bbq nachos for an app are great too.

never heard of this place but it's a little odd that they advertise themselves as "memphis" bbq and all the pics on their website are of wet ribs.

Not much good stuff around - Huey's has some pretty good burgers and a few good beers on tap. Fox and the Hound is a decent place to watch a game - better draft selection, and sports bar food. Mesquite Chophouse is a bit more upscale for a steak.

Most people there love Mi Pueblo for Mexican.

If you're looking to eat some good BBQ that's close to Southhaven/Olive Branch, you should go to Tom's BBQ which is on getwell just north of the TN/MS stateline. It's easy to get to from north MS. Getwell runs off of all the major N MS roads (stateline, church, etc.).
