We should probably take this to the offseason Bundesliga drama thread I've thought about that a lot though.

I took it over there lol

Goretzka is suing Bochum for blocking his Schalke transfer.

that's some BuLi drama, but also transfer news.

I threw his name around a couple times on here and on Twitter. Wanted LFC to make him their #1 target this summer. Knew it would never happen though, always figured he could have his pick of any club in the world. I truly thought Chelsea would chase them, he would be fantastic there.

Watched him in most of his CL matches this season, along with a handful of Bundesliga matches. Kid is phenomenal.

On top of it all, he's still a very hungry/humble player. I saw an interview with him before the UCL final and they were basically sucking his dick with quotes from Jogi and other high profile football minds saying that he could literally be as good as he wanted to be and he just shrugged it all off saying it was nice, but he still in his mind hasn't achieved anything at all.

He's probably Klopp's biggest achievement. He was a solid attacking mid for FCN but has become a world class holding midfielder in a couple of years.

In one match this season he had like 158 touches which is second all time in the Bundesliga behind Basti who had, I think, 161 one time a year or two ago. Jupp also said that Schweini is easily the best midfielder the Bundesliga has ever had. Javi also sings his praise constantly.

Hendo, do you think Podolski makes the WC squad next year? Saw you post in a thread that he is the reason for Ze Germans allowing some goals because of his mental lapses through his side of the field.

I know he is better on the national team than for club but I can name several people that can play probably play that LW spot better that Poldi without some big time brain farts.

I'm sure he'll be on the bench...

I think he makes the squad for sure. Do I think he deserves to start? Absolutely not.

I'm not putting Draxler over Reus yet but he's on my squad and he's ahead of Podolski, IMO

yep. Completed 87.6% passes, won 49.5 % of his challenges. started 26 matches and subbed on twice with only 4 yellows on the season, for a guy who plays as much defense as him, that just shows how disciplined he is. For the season he has much less touches than Basti on average, but I attribute that to the difference in styles. Dortmund typically doesn't just try and hold 90% possession.

honestly, Reus skipped my memory at the time I wrote that, but I really don't think he's far behind him. Never know with one more year experience. I really like Draxler, he's so fricking good off he ball and his creativity on the ball is something you definitely want on the field.

multiple English papers saying Arsenal have agreed to terms with Higuain. looks like it's about to happen. £22m is the figure those papers gave.

I'm still going to be in disbelief when this guy trots out on the pitch for us. Yes I know its not done yet.
I know he might not fit perfectly, But just to sign a real world class striker is amazing

you´d better hope Cazorla and company can give him the final pass with consistency. He absolutely sucks on the ball.

So true. Hoping this is only the beginning of a nice spending spree by Arsenal this summer.
