I would say mostly grilled food items, especially a burger. Obviously theres better burgers out there, but I could definitely beat most places average burger...and for much cheaper at that.

Most of what I cook can't be found in restaurants up here, so I would say my red beans, white beans, boiled crawfish and just about anything on the grill

Besides the obvious, burgers, jambalaya, gumbo, etc. I'll say lasagna. It's nothing special, but I haven't had better.

my jambalaya is freaking awesome. My red beans and rice ain't too bad either. I also do a pretty good lasagna and a baked spaghetti.

My sister could sell her red velvet cake and retire early.

There's nothing that I can cook better than any restaurant. I won't go into why because the reasons are obvious.

The only way that makes sense is if you have a physical or mental handicap preventing you from cooking, or maybe imprisonment or maybe living as a missionary in the wilds of Africa without running water or a food source. Maybe poor.

If you have desire you can meet or best any restaurant. The difference in between a home cook and a professional is in pulling it all off during service and being consistent, and some things require special equipment that you may not have, but the knowledge is readily available. You just have to want to.

I apologize to everyone here, but the absolute truth is everything I cook and everything the wife (MHNBPF) is better then you can get at a restaurant.

My cheese toast would bring tears to Julia Child's eyes.

Probably nothing. I'm not the best cook. And while I love cooking, usually restaurants are better simply because I didn't have to cook it. Gotta have a break from cooking dinner every once in a while.
