What do you do in a draft scenario like this?

This has to be the worst mock draft I've ever seen for the Saints. Literally every player we would want taken in the first 14 picks.

They have the Saints drafting Vacarro, btw, but I'd hope we could make a trade or grab Austin.

Disaster

I'd go Ogletree or best OL available.

I don't know how I'd feel about Vaccaro, being as I've watched 0 Texas games in the last couple of years. Is is he better suited at FS or SS? But in this scenario, I'd go Ogletree.

Pretty much worse case right there.

I wouldn't hate taking Vacarro, but I'd see if we could move back first. If not... I hate to say it... but the BPA... might be... Geno Smith.

I'd rather Ogletree than Vacarro. It's probable i'd rather tavon over Ogletree. That's truly a scenario i wouldn't mind dropping back 4 spots or so.

trading down is almost always the best option. but, i don't know how you can use that as a pick for a draft scenario. It's kind of a cop out for not having to make a pick.

The only offensive position that I think they should pick in the first round is OL. I think drafting Ogletree there would be a good fit though. Some may say it is reaching slightly. But with the new rookie wage scale, reaching doesn't cost you much.

Saints take Bjorn Woerner if he can play OLB.

I think people only view it as a reach because of where these media guys put him in their mocks, and the only reason they put him that late is his off the field issues. Like the analysis says in this link, he is a top 15 talent. If a team is willing to look past his past off the field issues, then he certainly isn't a reach at 15 at all.

I don't know Ogletree personally at all, but if the Saints chalk his incidents up as just being a dumb college kid, and think he won't be a
problem, then I am all for him at 15, especially in a situation like this mock.

We'd have some serious, young talent at LB position if that happened.

Wouldn't mind that at all.

Ogletrees off field issues seem small to me.

Don't think you'll have off-field issues with this guy staring you down.

I'd pray we could trade down in that scenario.

I don't really want Austin. 5-8 slot guy at 15? No thanks
