My son, who turned 7 in Feb, killed his first turkey this week. It was also the first turkey I called in by myself. He was pumped up. I would like to share a pic but i don't know how to post one.

It was a great feeling to share that with him. I've been working hard and saving favors until he got old enough. Started practicing a few weeks ago with his 20ga and he was a quick study. He stayed calm with two birds strutting at 17 steps and waited for a good shot. When it came he smoked him.

grand slam

Man I have osceola's in my back yard pretty often but I cant hunt them as I am at the end of a cul-da-sac . nothing but swamp and woods behind me but I cant.....

I makes me angry because I know it is a difficult bird to get for the grand slam and I would love to share it with people....

By the way...I feed them every morning!

Good job man, both you and your little dude.

I don't have the patience to turkey hunt, but all of the people I know who do are addicted to it like crack rocks

That sucks. He told me that he wanted to go after a different one every year. He said he wanted a hog next and then a deer so I guess I'll be busy.
