Question on Federal Reserve

Are Federal Reserve board members monitored to ensure there is no insider trading? Are their financial statements published or made available, similar to politicians? As they are responsible for monetary policy, which in turn can have dramatic effects on so many industries, companies, securities, etc, it would seem like a good idea. Haven't researched it. Thought I'd see if anyone here knows.

re: Question on Federal Reserve

Insider trading of what? The FED regulates Treasury issues. The SEC regulates stocks/corporate securities and FINRA writes most of the rules regarding those securities.

The only thing I could see the FED members doing is authorizing the buying/selling of bonds to raise/lower interest rates after buying or selling those bonds themselves.
