Has anyone on here looked into picking up a 780? I know coyote has the titan but I was curious if anyone was going to take a loan out and get the 780.
Me. I just can't bring myself to do it though. I think I'm going with a 770 instead.

They are so expensive but I want one just for the bad arse design...

I was going to buy a 780 for another HTPC or test bench but decided to wait on the volcanoes.
Ppl are saying the 8970.. no 9970 will be around 550, that is total fckking bullshite. AMDs last 2 flagship cards at launch were 6970 @ 399 and 7970 @ 549. We will see the same type of 15-20% increase at launch this year with shitty BF4 bundle.
EDT:
None the less i'm excited about the 9970s, my Titans are starting to piss me off.. I have 1 with a terrible coil whine. Crazy thing is if I put push more volts to it the coil whine goes away after about 2-3mins, but that also raises heat and forces me to turn up the pump/fans.

Those are some pretty expensive cards to piss you off . Like I have said before, I really want to go nvidia just because I haven't but for now I am not going to upgrade. I keep tempting myself then realizing I have other things I should do with the money.

You should wait for Maxwell or the volcanoes.
Tomb Raider question: How much fun was the bow? I loved it, used it more than anything else.

Without the bow that game sucks, or is average. Did you beat it?

Same thing I thought, bow was fun and easy to used. Loved it.
Yeah.. the ending was "non-climatic". Wasn't even a real end game boss fight.

The ending almost ruined the game, decent ending and people are mentioning it for GOTY IMO. I'm not saying it would win but it would change the lasting impression. They also might as well have left out multiplayer because it bombed and just brought down the overall opinion of the game. I loved shooting that bow though. Every fight my first goal was to light as many people on fire as possible

Looking at some dominator platinum sticks - 2 x 8gb
I see two models here:
1866 @ 1.5v, 9-10-9-27 for $186.99
or
2400 @ 1.65v, 10-12-12-31 for $254.99
Common sense tells me that the 2400 is a ripoff. The difference in timings and voltage makes it look like they're just selling the 1866 stuff with an added XMP. I would not be surprised if most, if not all, of the 1866 kits could run at the 2400 settings. For $70 difference, I'd expect those 2400s to run with tighter timings...

This is the one I bought. No dead or stuck pixels. OC'd to 75hz without any problems and I didn't notice any frame skips

Do you play at 75mhz or did you just do it to try?
Posted on 7/6/13 at 2:34 pm to Mr Gardoki
I played at it. First day I got it, I set it there on my first try and never touched it
Posted on 7/6/13 at 6:11 pm to bluebarracuda
Mine only oc'ed to 66 to I left it at 60. I increase it sometimes just to help with screen tearing if vsync doesn't work well.
Posted on 7/6/13 at 6:13 pm to Mr Gardoki
I probably could have gone higher, but I didn't feel like having to trouble shoot if it didn't work plus I probably would have needed to drop my settings to play at those high of frames

Hey blue, I'm in br, wanna go to Fred's and pick a fight?

I am about to upgrade my BGA machine since it seems to be something I am going to stick with and I need/want something bigger, better, and faster.
Looking in the $1000-$1200 range

Those are my options. I read on the net that Jovy machines aren't worth the money so I am staying away. Honton is what a lot of people are buying now and say they work great.
Scotle is supposed to be the best for the money though so I am fearful I am going too cheap instead of biting the bullet and just getting this daddy
LINK
Decisions...
I know you all find this as interesting as watching paint dry. Just bored and figured I would share.

Does anyone on this board still play BF3 on PC?

My February build has taken a major dump. Blue screens, the works. It looks like my problems go way beyond the video cards. I'll have to do a tear down and look at it from the ground up.
The problem is I probably can't get into it until August. I have 24 basketball games to coach in the next 21 days and I'll be up and down the east coast.
