I'm asking here because frick the tech board. I got a notice from IT that I'm do for a phone upgrade. I'm not really in a hurry so what are the good phones out now or coming soon? I'm not a big phone guy so I don't need the tech powerhouse and I don't want any bigger than 5".

You say that now, but once you get used to the bigger screen you'll never go back.
The 5.2" Moto X 2014 a top tier phone that's really cheap with an upgrade. I absolutely love the damn thing. You can customize them to hell and back too, which was great.

Looking at it is great but I don't like holding a 5" phone with 1 hand.

Yeah Moto X 14 for sure.

then stay with an iphone.
You might as well get used to the size now because you're likely going to have to in the future.

What's your hand spread, pinky tip to thumb tip? The Nexus 6 is slightly too wide for me to use one handed comfortably, but every other phone out there is suitable for one-handed use.

I don't know really. I have long fingers but i don't think my hand itself is very big.

The S4 feels marginally smaller than the moto x 2014

What is so special about the moto?

The GF and I both have Moto X 2nd gens, they are great phones unless you need to deal with Motorola's terrible customer service.
EDT: I'm in a repair battle since December with those ppl.

I bought my mom a Moto X. I am not a fan of it but she likes it.
I have an S4 active right now and will be replacing it in the next 6 months I think. Not sure what I will go with but as many issues have people have had with the S5 I think I will get away from Samsung.
I just need waterproof and rugged which is why I have the active.

Bought my dad a Windows phone. There isn't shite for apps on it. I wouldn't get one just for that reason.

HTC M9 should be out in a month, right? If you're allowed to wait that long.
Posted on 1/30/15 at 9:50 pm to ILikeLSUToo
I don't have to do it at all if I don't want.
Posted on 1/30/15 at 10:00 pm to ILikeLSUToo
HTC M9 will likely have a 5.5" screen. 5.2" smallest.
