We stopped by Best Stop on way home from Houston yesterday and saw the banners. Just wanted to put this out because of the Boudin wars on here. Looks like everyone can get their favorites here along with beer and music.

just a PSA if anyone is interested.

Went to facebook site. Looks like good music and eats.

I hope so. We got into a baseball tournament in the area so we could go after games.

Wife's grandma is Opelousas born and bred. we are staying with her and plan on partying.

I enjoy that one, but the huge boudin cook-off in October in Lafayette is much larger and far superior.

I understand that. Just looking for a reason to drink beer, eat boudin, and listen to music. That along with kiddos baseball tourny while free lodging in opelousas is a win win for me.

Was just putting that out there for people who do not know and possibly interested.

Not surprising.

We could have a F&DBGT at this place.

was not looking for a competition with this thread. Just letting folks know.

However, we got folks coming there from St. Landry and Avoyelles Parishes to watch my boy play ball and eat boudin. The bad thing is the boudin and beer is more important than the baseball.

I'm from AP. We probably know some of the same people. Pretty sure we've had this conversation on the OT before.

more than likely we have. wife's side is Plaucheville, Mansura and Back Step proud.

They have good boudin up that way. Kin folks coming down to watch tourny and go to festival.

The one in Lafayette has been during a huge LSU football game every year it has been in existence.

That's why I'm glad I'm not an LSU fan

I'm down with the get down. Had lunch today with a fellow TDer.

I'm a pretty cool kid. Well, at least that's what I tell myself to make life a little easier.

Where are you from in Avoyelles? The wife is a Rabalais. That family taught me how to cook.

It might not be your style anymore, but you can sleep on my futon couch. It's a new cushion/mattress that I've never had sex on fwiw.

You are welcome to come with us. Just talked to GiGi and she will be on a cruise. Party time in Port Barre behind King's truck stop.

a coonass/redneck party happening. Buddy will be at his camp on Three Mile Lake.

Best of all worlds...

I think I am going to give it a try. Went to the one downtown last year. I think that was the morning of the Florida game? Hurried back and watched an awful game...
