It's mainly considered a scavenger. The most bad arse bird of prey is either a Falcon or a Sea Hawk. They take birds out of the air and fish from the sea.

I've been trying to get the national bird switched to a golden eagle. A bald eagle is a glorified vulture that fishes on weekends.

Teyeger and I saw a hawk take one of those blueish looking cranes out in mid air this weekend. by far the coolest thing we saw this weekend

We were running about 20 miles offshore one day when we came across a frigate bird trying to catch a seagull. The gull was avoiding, but couldn't outrun. I actually kind of felt bad for the gull.
