Benelli question

Currently have a 15 year old Super Black Eagle (black synthetic stock). Received a $500 gift certificate to Cabelas. Should I trade in my Super Black Eagle for a Camo Benelli Vinci? Does anyone have thoughts on the gun?

Are you gonna try and trade at cabelas? If so, don't you'll get nothing near what its worth. Sell it individually, then go buy.

Ali was going to do that. I figured that I would get a decent return since I would buy the Vinci at Cabelas. Looked at Cabelas gun library and the SBE sells at the same price as a Vinci.
Forgot to mention, it's strictly for duck hunting. No geese.

H&K? If so how much you want for it? IMHO you have the better of the 2 guns already. I love my SBEII but the original SBE is a freaking horse. I honestly believe there's not a tougher, better made duck gun out there. Which apparently a whole lot of other folks feel the same way considering how they are valued today

I am willing to buy it. Let me know what Cabelas offers, and if still decent shape, i will add $50
I personnally would go SBEII over Vinci, but its my preference of feel.

What you doing with an original SBE?
Just wondering, I still have mine but never shoot it.

I can get 4 3" in my SBEII, 3.5's won't work though.

Appreciate all the suggestions and comments. I think based on y'all's opinions, I might look to hold on to that SBE.

I've had the Vinci for 4 yrs now. Works as well as the day I got it, which it should for how much it cost. I've dropped it to the bottom of a 5 ft deep lake and had to dive down to get it back. It's ridiculously easy to take apart and clean though so it still works perfect

i've got a 1997 model sbe (h&k) and have shot it so much that 2 years ago it finally malfunctioned - the ejector broke. why you not shooting yours?

i change out the orig spring and put in the light after-market spring so i can shoot 7/8 or 1 oz loads and use it to shoot doves and clays with. when duck season rolls around i put the orig spring back in.

I know of the stocks splitting on the Vinci. One guy I know was talking about two Vinci stocks splitting on him at the grip...and he shoots 2 3/4" hi brass Fiocchi loads not 3" or 3.5".

You shooting 3 1/2" shells? If not, I'd actually look at the Benelli M2 and save yourself a few hundred bucks...

(1) Don't do it; and
(2) If you do it, don't get camo...there has never been a camo gun made that did not peel or fade.

I have an SBEII and a Vinci, both camo, neither have peeled or faded. I have some scratches from leaning them on the pit but they both are hunting guns and not collectors so IDGAF!

My camo M2 turkey gun has only two seasons of use but the camo finish has held up very well thus far...
