Travel it frequently now and wondering what are some good places for lunch. Please include places "just off" I-10 as well.

TIA

I second Crazy Bout Crawfish. Really good fried shrimp patty sandwich. Everything is reasonably priced as well.

I think I just identified my Friday lunch. I'd never heard of this place, and I've traveled I-10 enough to have all the exit numbers memorized.

I'll vouch for this place too. Pretty solid for an understated little place. Just past Wal-Mart on the opposite side of the street.

Glenda's in Breaux Bridge.
Rice Palace in Crowley for some decent gumbo.

Chicken on the Bayou is home to my wifes favorite fried shrimp - of anywhere.

DIs is great but it's about 30 minutes off I-10 at the Jennings exit

Crazy bout crawfish has great burgers, sandwiches, salads, will even grill their crab cakes instead of frying them ... Gotta try the fried bread pudding balls for dessert too

It's in the middle of nowhere but a really cool place, especially on a night with live music.

Damn, that looks good too, as does Cafe Des Amis. Might be a gameday decision.

I was expecting you to already be sitting there eating, no matter which place I choose. You certainly have that knack with fishing holes.
