Because Note Dame won their series. Baseball America has said time and time again that what happens on the weekend is most important to them. And Cal Poly is a good team. They were ranked in several other polls.
Stupid to not care about mid-week at all if the team you lose to is really bad. UC-Santa Barbara is pretty bad. Sorry, you cant ignore something like that. Plus, are we not much better than Cal Poly?

Saints allegedly sign Nnamdi
quote:
How is that a good answer? When Ole Miss swept a bad TCU team (8-11 with an RPI of 120), Ole Miss jumped from 13 to 8, ahead of LSU who went 3-0 that week. LSU is still stuck behind Ole Miss because now the rule is a winning team doesn't get jumped.
TCU wasn't considerd a bad team at the time. It was the first weekend of the season and they were ranked in the top 15.

So if LSU had lost to Nicholls this past week, but still won 2 of 3 against State, you think we should have dropped.

I think im the only saints fan who wants nothing to do with Nnamdi. He was awful last year.

I think we absolutely would have. But MSU > Cal Poly.
Say looking a few weeks ahead we lost to Southern at home then lost to what seems to be a middle of the pack SEC team in Arkansas 1/3 times. I would think going 2-2 would hurt us simply because of how bad Southern is. But baseball America gunna baseball america.

it's not a rule. that's just how their they form their opinion that the weekend series matters most. If you go 3-2 on a week, win 2 midweek games and lose your weekend series, they weight that more.
You can't hate on people just because their opinion is different. Do I think Ole Miss should have jumped us? No. But I'm not a BA voter. I personally think that the entire season to date should be considered each and every week when voting, not just what happened that week in particular.
