Hey guys,

I am swamped at work, but I thought I'd make a thread dedicated to the game today at noon. I will be able to update and take part in the in-game thread, but I have to get my work done till then.

TV: ESPNU
Radio: 98.1FM-199XM-126Sirius
Stream: ESPN3.com

LSU plays #1 seed Florida. It will be interesting to see what Florida comes out with. They only play 7-8 people so they aren't very deep and with their ticket already booked for the big dance, it will be interesting if they come out 100% looking to win this.

LSU played a fantastic first half against UGA before coasting to a 5 point victory in the second half. Coleman had a career day, but O'Bryant missed about 50 free throws and Carmouche was nearly invisible. His injury is definitely still looming.

Tigers had a good game from Stringer and LSU is now 10-0 when Hickey has 5 or more assists. Florida had a bye so this will be there first game in 6 days.

Look for LSU to try and force more turnovers like they did in the first half yesterday. LSU had a season low 5 turnovers yesterday and will need to continue to take care of the ball if they plan on beating the top seeded Gators.

Prediction:
LSU 65, Florida 75

-While LSU's chances are not great, if Florida plays flat, LSU could take advantage. It's tournament time and this is LSU's MARCH MADNESS. Should be a great game.

Murphy's not out there. A Gator fan just told me he heard he hurt his knee in shootaround

If Erik Murphy isn't able to go, it would be a really big setback for the Gators.

edit:

Oops, there's Murph. Someone told me he hurt his knee. But he's stretching now

I think LSU has as good a chance as anyone to beat the Gators. This could be a similar game to LSU vs Kentucky last season. Where LSU plays great and keeps it much closer than people think. I'll be honest, I thought 15.5 was high and put it on the Tigers.

I was expecting the spread to be around 11. 15 is really high, imo.

Its going to be tough. I can't imagine the starters having strong legs for today's game... at least the bench will be rested. While I hate to see Hickey taking shots, he might be the best type of player to takes over on the second day.

Great turnaround on the thread!

Hickey and JOBIII are due for big games. If they both do as well as having Coleman and Stringer play like they did yesterday and we have a decent shot IMO.

So much fail in the 2nd half yesterday he needs to get it together! I really think if he gets his hand on the ball he feels like no matter how many people are guarding him he has to shoot.

I fully expect one half of effort and another half of utter fricking disaster.

Since it is on ESPNU, I'm afraid most aren't going to be able to watch it on ESPN3 without a cable provider affiliated with WatchESPN, right?

Statsheet projects LSU as a bubble team... While most people don't believe that (including me) it makes our hopes for an NIT birth look better.
