Dewey Destin's Seafood.

There's one on the beach side that has indoor and outdoor seating with waiters and all that jazz...the other one is harbor side that is a walk-up window with dock seating.

Best bang for your buck when it comes to seafood in Destin. You can go to a nicer place for seafood down there, but Dewey is hard to beat.

Grilled shrimp + new potatoes + corn + jalapeño hush puppies meal is the way to go.

Love that place. Just making sure you knew the greatness.

I can also attest to Fat Clemenza's. Living an hour from Destin had its advantages during high school.

Get away from the beach and leave the tourist traps behind. There are several places in Niceville/Valparaiso just across the Bay Bridge that are worth a visit. Two of my favorites are Ed's Seafood and Steaks (the old Nicomedo's Restaurant) and the Boat House Landing, both very popular with locals. A good place for breakfast or lunch is the Bluewater Bay Sports Bar at the marina. They do also serve a limited dinner menu until 9 p.m. Strictly a bar after nine.

In seaside there really are good hot dogs and barbecue to be had from the Little airstreams right there along 30A. The taco bar is good in seaside as well. For a more traditional meal Cafe 30a is probably the best in the 30A area. Great Southern was really nice when it first opened but I heard it wasn't as nice nowadays.
