I don't see a lot wrong with it, honestly. It wasn't written or signed by Paterno either.

(I actually wrote out Joe Pa as his name first, and had to re-write it because it felt like too endearing of a name)

More solid evidence that JoePa didn't let just anybody use the PSU facilities
One of the comments, valid point imo

Crazy that'd he'd send a copy of this over $12.99 to his parents, but didn't go to anyone when boys were being abused.

How do you know he didn't write it?

I like how people in comments complain about Deadspin writing "another paterno bashing" article. PSU deserves all the shite they take

The /mkc at the bottom of the letter means someone with the initials MKC wrote it.

I guess he's trying to say the letter was written before the Sandusky stuff was covered up, as if one had to come before the other to justify Paterno's moral compass.

Nice touch at the end:

"P.S. A copy of this letter is going to your parents"

Awesome... I hope some administrator chooses to share the emails Joe's sent administrators (regarding Sandusky) with the parents of the child victims.

One of the replies - I lol'd.

Dear Coach:

I'm really sorry that you feel this way. I actually had sent a check to cover the debt earlier; I'm not sure what happened - it must have gotten lost in the mail. I would never want you to be disappointed in me, and I would certainly never do anything that would cast Penn State in a bad light, or indicate disrespect for you, the program, or the school.

In any event, I can confirm that I have since paid the debt back. Luckily, I ran into Coach Sandusky and paid him the money.

It was the damnedest thing, though. I tried to insist that I pay interest on the overdue amount, which by my calculation brought the total up to $18. Coach Sandusky wouldn't take it though - he said thirteen was enough.

What a great guy!

Unbelievable right? And he is sending bitchy letters to the parents of 23 year old college graduates? What a joke. I am fairly certain that being around an outed child molester for your college years is worth $12.99 or more.
