Alaskan House passes bill challenging future fed gun restrictions.

quote:

It declares that guns and ammunition possessed by Alaskans are exempt from federal gun laws. It also subjects federal agents to felony charges if they try to enforce any future federal ban on semi-automatic weapons or ammunition or enforce any new federal requirement for gun registration.

Gov. said this morning that he believes it will not be subject to the supremacy clause.

I guess the supremacy clause is supreme to the 2nd amendment clause.

Not sure who the new AG is, he last two were pretty damn sharp in addition to being great guys. They are basing it upon the idea that new federal restrictions may be unconstitutional.

Obama/Reid/Holder pick and choose which laws they enforce...which ones they don't. Just a matter of time before the 'supremacy clause'...becomes just words.

'Consent of the governen"...outside of that, herding cats. Cats who will NEVER accept Barack Obama's dominance. He sucks.

I wondered whether Alaska would do something like this, it isn't exactly like urban NY and people sometimes actually need firearms as working tools.
