Who cares, it blocks Playstation 3 games, and to me that is a problem.

Why? Console upgrades in the nineties never let you do this. It only really matters if your older console breaks.

Because back then a NES game was shaped differently than a SNES game.
All my CD shaped games fit in the same slot! So they should all werk on every system!!

Seriously, once the cell wasn't going to be in PS4, it should have been an instant sign that PS3 games weren't going to work instantly. PS3 games will have to be 'ported' over in a sense in order to work on PS4 without Gaikai/streaming.
