Suggestions to improve the site.

Instant notification when someone responds to your post. Maybe a pegasus flies across the screen. Doesn't have to be a pegasus. That's just what I'm into. It could any animal really. Maybe you could choose from a selection of animals, and they could say things like "Oh no he didn't" or "OMG drama bomb."

It would be cool to have an icon or something that appears next to a thread you posted in when someone responds to you.

PM system.
I was against it before but it would be a nice "bell and whistle" feature to add.
Posters could have the option to disable it if desired as well.

Also, thread titles and user names within the actual threads shouldn't be underlined. It looks much cleaner (load the mobile site for evidence of this...).
The listing of message boards on the left needs to be organized. For example, the "Sports" tab would include the Tiger Rant, LSU Recruiting board, MSB, etc, while the "Entertainment" tab would include the OT, Music Board, Movie/TV board, etc. Each tab should be expandable and collapsable based on the user's preferences. The SEC Rant has a half implemented version of this.
Finally, the aesthetics need to be updated. The SEC Rant received a complete overhaul with respect to the design paradigm. TD would benefit from a similar design enhancement. For example, many non-LSU fans frequent this site, either to discuss the Saints, IM others on the OT, or debate about a recent item of legislation on PT - yet the "post reply" and "request admin" buttons at the bottom of each post still employ a purple and gold color scheme. It just seems like there are a lot of little design enhancements that could be made that would make the site cleaner.
