My buddy up at Caney usually wears them out during the spawn. I've been staying in contact with him and he says it won't be long. Hopefully I will have pics to share soon.

I would say they will start moving into a little shallower water in the next week or 2. Water temp where I fish was 60-61 last week in the deeper spots. *Disclaimer* I'm a pretty terrible bass fisherman.

I don't even bass fish, besides a very occasional trip with friends and it looks like Isaac wiped out the last of the bass at the house.

Just got of the phone with my dad who is on Toledo Bend right now. He has been fishing the buckbrush in the blue area for a couple of hours and has caught some decent fish. He almost lost the his phone in the water as he set the hook while talking to me.

Depends on where, on Toledo Bend, I think they will hold off a while, probably next month. We fished 1215 area on Sunday, we did decent, had about 10 keepers, 2 5lbrs, none were up really shallow though. Water temps were in the mid-high 50's. Spent a hour or so in our "honey hole" when they are spawning, and not a fish in there. Brother went on Monday, they fished the south end, caught a good mess 15 I think, all ripping traps in the grass. Nothing up shallow. Now Indian Creek in Woodworth, they will probably spawn soon. Some buddies went out there over the weekend, said they saw quite a few "cruisers," they did well fishing flukes in inches of water. Temps in the low 60's if I am not mistaken.

Soon. Water temps should be warming all week (at least in NWLA). They were 54ish Sunday morning where I was and we got into 7 over 2 lbs, best 5 going 14.1. All loaded with eggs and sitting in 6-8ft of water. We catch a bit of a colder snap next week, so maybe in 3 weekends they will be ready, about 2.5 weeks.

I'm not a punk and I catch and release bass in my pond. The bass in my pond are moving up now. As to when they will spawn, more likely next full moon if the temps stay up like they been. Oh, all big bass I have in my pond came from the wild that I cought.

Soon. I caught my limit Sunday in 2-4 foot of water at Toledo this past Sunday. About half half had eggs.

I was under the impression that this was illegal? Anyone want to clarify.

Some already have and I'm not sure they didn't drop some eggs in Dec in the marsh. Saw a bunch of fry that looked like bass. I usually catch a good sack in duck season and we did this year also. SEC tourney time is usually my best time year in and year out. And I wrap it up around St Patty's day. If they spawn in April I'll never know as long as I can still chase them jive turkeys.

Headin back to the marsh to try and get after them again in the morning. Going to some areas that are known spawning grounds so I will report back on whether it is on down here or not.

with the warm weather last week they tried to move up during the full moon in the bayou black area, 20 lb and 19 lb stringers were caught for a tourny, which is big for that area, the cooler weather this past week knocked em down, if we get consistent 63-65 deg temps for a week or so u will catch some trying to spawn
