i enjoy reading all the feedback given by the people visiting for the Super Bowl. Post any tweets, pics or articles here about restaurants or anything New Orleans that people are enjoying. Here are a few Ive came across.

Mike Pereira (NFL referee)
quote:

Time to join my crew on twitter. In New Orleans enjoying the scene. Two great dinners so far, Pascal's Manale, and Cochon. Both had Titos!

Scott Van Pelt (ESPN personality)

quote:

Lessons from Bourbon St. Vol 1: if a place sells pizza AND daiquiris, it's no place for a sober person or for pizza.

So Irma Thomas follows up Dr John at the party at James Carville's home? Of course she does. #NOLA

Lessons from Bourbon St Vol. 2 - only to horses can poop in the street. Allegedly

Lessons from Bourbon St. Vol 3: If Rebirth Brass Band is playing at the Maple Leaf, why are you on Bourbon St?

Ryen Russillo (ESPN personality)

quote:

He's talking on radio now, he had a 5 course meal at Palace Cafe last night, then ate at Jacques-Imo's after before seeing Rebirth at the Maple Leaf

Trent Dilfer
quote:

Holy smokes @merrilhoge and I eating one of best meals of our lives at Root, 200 Julia st. Proprietor @darth_saint a #FoodSurgeon

Neil Patrick Harris(Doogie Houser)

quote:

Unbelievable lunch at Mother. Seemed only appropriate, given the title. Delicious Po’ Boy

Drink of choice at the moment: Sazarac. This from the Carousel Bar. Best I’ve ever had

Dinner: @RevolutionNOLA. Outstanding. Best dish: Gulf shrimp and grits. Just wow

Eric Asher on the radio today was totally gushing about the media party at Mardi Gras World last night. 60 of the city's best restaurants, local music (big sam's funky nation, amanda shaw, Doopsie, Dan Aykroid). Said the city has really rolled out the red carpet for the media, of course so they talk great about the city. I cant wait to get out there later this week.

Eric must be going nuts with all this food!

I've heard the Mad Dog radio guys say the same thing about being treated well, although they lamented that nobody was coming out to radio row.

I'm gonna make my way down there on Saturday to check everything out.

Great thread Lester. Kicking myself for not going to Maple Leaf last night. I really haven't read or heard anything negative yet.

Steve Levy (ESPN personality)

quote:

best non nfl story of am from nola...espn researcher dropped his wallet on way back from cafe du monde..hour later returned in-tact #whodat

quote:

Found a hockey bar in nola. Ryan's irish pub claims to be only bar in french quarter with center ice package. Every game on every tv screen

Asher also said they had a Riverboat take the media from Mardi Gras world back to the FQ so no one had to drive. Thought that was pretty cool.

Cool thread, I love reading about people's experiences of the city. Why don't you start one of these on the OT?

Yep.
The rednecks would shite all over the thread and ruin what was supposed to be a good thing.

Ian Rappaport, NFL Network reporter
quote:

Dear @cochonbutcher's pork belly sandwich: We are now best friends.

Darin Gantt (ProFootballTalk/NBC)

quote:

The high point of today might have been lunch @CochonButcher Coppa di testa, or as it was described "a fattier bacon."

quote:

Already saw a man yelling profanity at a lamp-post shortly after dawn, now a billboard for King Cake-flavored vodka. New Orleans, y'all.
