re: US planned to launch chemical attack in Syria

It's definitely right wing and has quite the history of libel:

2001, February: Businessman Alan Sugar was awarded £100,000 in damages following a story commenting on his stewardship of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.[89]
2003, October: Actress Diana Rigg awarded £30,000 in damages over a story commenting on aspects of her personality.[90]
2006, May: £100,000 damages for Elton John, following false accusations concerning his manners and behaviour.[91]
2009, January: £30,000 award to Dr Austen Ivereigh, who had worked for Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, following false accusations made by the newspaper concerning abortion.[92]
2010, July: £47,500 award to Parameswaran Subramanyam for falsely claiming that he secretly sustained himself with hamburgers during a 23-day hunger strike in Parliament Square to draw attention to the plight of Tamils in Sri Lanka.[93]
2011, November: the former lifestyle adviser to Cherie Blair and Tony Blair, Carole Caplin received "substantial" libel damages over claims in the Mail that she was about to reveal intimate details about her former clients.[94]

What was the point of "allowing" the purchases?
the same point the Bush Justice Dept had in "allowing" the purchases.

The same point cops have in "allowing" the purchasers of drugs or explosives or guns each and every day.

To follow the trail.

Now answer my questions.

TIA

I don't care or know about the daily mail but this entire "syria email" originated from 4chan's /pol/ board. It's basically a place full of wild conspiracies and trolls, but sometimes can surprise you at how much faster they are at posting major news than major media outlets.

That said, I seriously doubt that that the emails are legit.

It would be more credible if we knew who in Qatar is saying who in Washington approves this and whether any of these guys in the email would be privy to this information.

But then that would be asking too much from the Daily Mail. Far better to go with someone somewhere says someone somewhere is behind it which proves Obama approves.

The emails were released by a Malaysian hacker who also obtained senior executives resumés and copies of passports via an unprotected company server

Then these probably aren't (or won't be) legit either.

The passport pictures and other Arabic writings are probably all real and related to the company's business.

My doubts come from the email(s) talking about using chemical weapons on civilians and making it look like the Russians did it. We're talking the start of WW3 if they were true.

The Daily Fail?

Yeah, it makes The Washington Times look like the beacon of journalistic integrity.

I really don't think the Russians would have a motive or condone the use, as alleged on Dec. 23. I don't think they're that stupid. This stinks at all angles.

The email said that they were going to use Ukrainian mercenaries and make them speak Russian to make it look like the Russians were the one behind it. The Russians had no involvement at all.

How did they intend to track these weapons with no rfid and never coordinating with the Mexican government?

BTW what was your question?

By using the same unsuccessful surveillance tactics that the Bush Justice Dept used with their Operation Wide Receiver which led to no arrests until the Obama admin got indictments for minor crap like lying under oath.

I'm not defending the practice. It failed under Bush and it failed under Obama. Just think its absurd for the right to claim this was a conspiracy to get more guns into Mexico which would then allow for reasons for gun control. Mexican cartels are already armed and will get more no matter what the ATF allows or doesn't allow.

But don't Libertarians believe there should be no laws stopping the sales of these guns?

And even if these particular gun sales were prevented, wouldn't the cartels already have the guns or at least access to get more to commit the murders they eventually committed?

Just seems to be hypocritical for those on this board who oppose government restrictions on the sale of guns to be critical when the government doesnt stop the sale of guns.

And if you argue that gun control won't stop mass murderers from getting guns, how can you argue the prevention of these straw purchasers would have stopped the cartel murders?

You saw my questions in the post you responded to and you're seeing them now. You're just avoiding them.

This is a lie they didn't include the Mexican Government in FnF like Wide Receiver did.

So take a known failed program and run with it Sweet!

True statement, but can you name anyone who would take a failed program and continue it Libertarian or others?

quote:

And even if these particular gun sales were prevented, wouldn't the cartels already have the guns or at least access to get more to commit the murders they eventually committed?

So wtf is your point that in fact the government should have continued pumping untraceable weapons into the drug cartels hands.

quote:

Just seems to be hypocritical for those on this board who oppose government restrictions on the sale of guns to be critical when the government doesnt stop the sale of guns.

Again both programs were a failure so why did they start a program they knew would fail.

Seems to me that you have given a strong case for why Odrama is a repeat of the failure called the Bush years in fact it appears that Odrama I and II are the third and fourth Bush terms.

Israel wants the U.S. to fight another war for them so bad that they can hardly stand it.
Israel warns of possible pre-emptive chemical weapons strike in Syria
This was 2 days ago.

I'm thinking it's about time Israel started putting out the fires they like to start ...on their own. Just my opinion.

This is the writer's fault, but the emails prove nothing of the sort. It's two contractors writing to each other, and one says the plan has been approved by Washington. I do not know whether the allegation is true or not, but this is not a smoking gun.

I agree, Ozaris supposedly said somehing to Dave and Dave is now writing to Phil

quote:

Leaked emails have allegedly proved

Why would the US not be able to do this with our own resources? Why do we need osaris to ask Dave to write Phil about the enormous sums we will pay for this suppposed undescribed scheme.

E-mail is such a secure method of communication and that UKMail always gets the inside dope almost as quick as WND.
