I try not to think too hard too often, but I can't figure out why the NBA thought it was a good idea to allow LA 2 teams, and have them share the same building. I know neither team originated in LA, but it's just odd. Same thing goes for the Jets/Giants. I don't get it.

Why spend hundreds of millions of dollars unnecessarily? If anything, having them play in separate stadiums is worse, especially if they're taxpayer funded.

Knicks/Nets are one of the few in the same city that dont share. Islanders/Rangers too for the time being

You might want to edit your title.

There are numerous cases of two teams (from different leagues) sharing a building.

Mavericks and Stars share AAC. Bulls and Blackhawks share United Center.

How is this any worse than an NBA and NHL team in the same building?

Staples houses the Lakers, Clippers, Kings and Spark.

Are you joking? It absolutely makes sense for those teams to share a building. Those buildings are huge they literally cost hundreds of millions of dollars, and most of them are underutilized (especially NFL stadiums which only host 8 home games (plus preseason and possibly playoffs) each year.

thats why we are getting this college match ups in NFL stadiums now.

The team that gives up the home game makes bank as well. Jerry World and FedEx has been pimping its self out hard. M&T held Maryland vs Navy and will host WVU vs Maryland next year. Of course the Georiga dome has been doing it for a while.

the joke is on the taxpayers in Arizona (Suns and Coyotes) and Miami (Heat and Panthers)...

i also think the Clippers should have became Anaheim's NBA team and left LA to the Lake Show...
