finally got around to watch taken 2 and loved it! never a dull moment! i was wondering which one everybody else likes better. they're both great so i'll have to call it a tie.

Definitely Taken.
Taken 2 threw all reasonable storyline out the window and just went for straight action

I enjoyed Taken 2 for what it was, and most most impressed that Kim could run like a normal human being.
That being said, Taken was better by a lot.

Don't forget the daughter who couldn't pass her drivers test in Los Angeles going overseas and turning into Jason Bourne, with a stick shift no less, because an automatic wasn't unreasonable enough.

Having just watched taken 2 this past weekend, definitely taken was hands down the better one. Although the mom and daughter getting more screen time in 2 didn't hurt

I dont get the love for the first although I didnt hate it by any means. Just not this modern classic people make it out to be. Didnt waste my time with the 2nd. Wasnt there a scene where he recognizes a location from a chicken he heard squawking previously ?

I finally watched the first Taken a couple months ago. Was not really impressed considering the hype.

I had an idea for a movie about this guy who's daughter get's kidnapped & sold as a sex slave and he had to go get her back, but it was taken.
I also had an idea for a movie where the guy in the first movie was kidnapped later, but that was taken too.
