Has anyone tried it? Picked up a six pack last night but haven't tried one yet.

I like all styles of beer but this one did nothing for me. Nothing special about it.

Made by anheiser busch. Gee i wonder what a lager made by anheiser busch would taste like? Oh that's right, like the rest of their flavorless yellow swill.

Ever wonder why they aren't coming out and saying this beer is not produced by AB?

Batch 19; American Adjunct Lager style beer brewed by Coors Brewing ... back in the day, tasty lager beer that is a cut above the regular BMC fare.

It's a sneaky attempt by Coors. You won't find many here that will support this.

They do this shite on a lot of beers, make them look like a craft beer when in reality they are the same as the rest.

I believe Blue Moon is a prime example.

Shock Top as well. I think they'd just do better by buying an interest in established brands and just distributing them like they've done with Goose Island and Red Hook.

frick that. I'm not supporting a fraudulent attempt by a shitty major beer producer to appeal to people who are actually participating in a grassroots movement to bring local, small businesses producing quality craft beer into the fold.

As much as I would like to hate on this beer, flavor wise I liked it. Nothing special mind you but I was disappointed when I looked it up to find it was a coors product.

Yup. And my mistake, made by coors not AB (but what is the difference anyway). But at least blue moon was at one time, not owned by big beer (i think).

But the reason BMC (Bud/Miller/Coors) is doing this shite, is because craft beer has grown every year in the last 5-10 years, and is chipping away at BMC profits. Craft beer makes up a total of 6-8% of all beer sales and is rising. So BMC is repackaging the same cheap shite they always make, and making sure their name isn't anywhere on the bottle in order to try and fool craft drinkers into thinking this is true craft beer.

God forbid BMC can't have the whole 100% right?

They should be content with owning almost 90% of the market (as terrible as that is).

I have no problem with them trying to legally increase their market share. They are a business. They strive to make money, right?

I personally just prefer to drink better beer than what the Big 3 have to offer, which is why I buy from the craft breweries.

When I want to go cheap, I tend to pick Old Milwaukee/Schlitz/Busch. Sure, same makers (at least Busch is), but for some reason still seems to have more flavor than the higher priced Budweiser.

this.... They also own Widmer, Kona, and Spaten who all make high quality beers.

I really don't care who owns Goose Island as long as they are putting out good beer.

Nope, 100% Coors. It's made under their Tenth & Blake Beer Company division which is their craft and import division.

I've never seen any beer nerds "errmagod" over any lagers, so your theory doesn't have much foundation

There's a lot of really average to bad craft and microbrews out there. Not every single one is the nectar of the Gods.

It's an adjunct lager. Anyone who has had something other than an adjunct lager will never be very impressed.

I have zero problem with them making money.

But i object to them repackaging their shite and hiding their name from the bottle. If you make the beer, you should be proud of it. Why would you then hide your name? Because craft drinkers won't buy BMC shite, and if they knew who made it, they wouldn't buy this new shite.
Craft beer is about the quality of the product. BMC is about the economics of the product. Not taste. That's why they cheapen ingredients and eventually sully the name of any small brewer they buy up.
If you like BMC, then go ahead and buy it. BMC has every right to market their beer however they want, just don't pretend to be a craft beer by hiding your name from the brew.

Not likely

Just because it's craft, doesn't mean it's good
See: Indian Wells

But because it's Currs masquerading as a craft, well, frick that garbage
