Honestly though, the real joke there is Mack Brown. He's making as much as Saban? Jesus.

what do you call what saban did when he left the dolphins? not to mention les is one of dozens of coaches that do this every year. and finally, in today's landscape, les is one of the most successful coaches in the country; however, he still makes less than Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops, Mack Brown, and Nick Saban. get over it. Miles' agent just did his job. Saban's agent, Jimmy Sexton, is notorious for doing exactly that.

I have some issues with Miles. But, if you watched the "Game of the Century" last year, you'll notice that he blatantly out coached Satan throughout the entire thing.

Don't forget. If they don't bitch and whine and PAY for a rematch, we're at the top of the mountain heading into last season.

The national media has been right about Miles all along.

He is terribly overrated by many LSU fans.

500,000 per win...sounds reasonable.

Not necessarily true. Partially, but doesn't tell the whole story.

That's how the game is played.

If by "not necessarily true" you mean "completely fricking false"...you're dead on

Not sure he earned it, but it is necessary to show recruits that LSU is a top program and is committed to the coach.

From article

Contract extension will put him with Nick Saban, Mack Brown, Bob Stoops, Urban Meyer

How many NCs did Stoops and Brown win again????

*Since 2005 when he became head coach, Les Miles has won more games overall than any school in the SEC.
*Les Miles’ winning percentage of .802 is not only the best in LSU history, it is the fifth best in the history of the Southeastern Conference.
*Under Les Miles, 167 players have gotten college degrees. LSU’s graduation rate during that tenure trails only Vanderbilt.

I am becoming a Miles basher of sorts due to his recent struggles with the big games. But I'm not going to say he doesn't deserve to be one of the highest paid coaches in NCAA. Stoops and Brown have struggled more in big games and he is making the same. All this being said, if he can't get us over the top in the next 2-3 years, I want him gone. He is meeting all of our goals, except winning the big ones.
