This is going to be fun to remember back on in 10 years.

LSU won't be good forever. The catalyst for a teams down slide is usually a coaching change (or probation).

Miles has sustained success. That is the most important thing. Now, if he loses 6 games next year it's a different story.

Each of the other elite coaches listed have had 5 loss seasons. Brown has even had a losing season, so has Richt.

Having penis envy of Bama will do nothing but hurt LSU. Thinking you can do better than a top 5-10 coach 99% of the time will destroy your program.

Miles' agent just did his job. Saban's agent, Jimmy Sexton, is notorious for doing exactly that.

I love how people forget what December and January was like the ENTIRE time Saban was here, as we'd have to listen to the various NFL rumors that would pop up and eventually land Nick a nice new bump in salary. shite...I don't even know Miles' agent's name, but I sure as hell new Saban's.

I completely understand the winning percentage but this has got to be one of the most painful coaching careers to watch as a fan in history. (offense, game decisions, speaking skills, overtime losses, jj, jl, 1-9-12, etc.), with many more years, the only safe move is to withdraw emotionally because the next sucker punch is incoming.

yeah i'd much rather endure the careers of mike archer and curley hallman again rather than averaging 10 wins a season

Todd Berry ULM $250K

I think that is the lowest in football?

I also read in a previous article that the OC and DC at ULM each make 65K.

What will YOU say if LSU wins 10 games again next year with that schedule and all the losses on defense?

The guy has blown national titles back to back by losing twice to the same damn team and refusing to change his offensive philosphy that has the offense non existent! But these morons think he is worth every penny because he wins games. LSU's talent is exceptional and much better than most teams win playin them except for the Bama's and Florida's and gaining T a&m, so he should win most games, right?

So his salary should fluctuate year to year based on the most recent years record?

So after 2011 he should have been the second highest paid coach in the country?
