Why in the hell is Texas paying Mack Brown that kind of money? The guy is terrible and people want him fired. He isn't one of the best 20 coaches in the country but he's paid the same amount as #1? It's insane.

Honest opinion, the guy is a good coach. His only drawback is that Saban just happens to coach at a school in the same division at the same time so he is all too frequently compared to Nicky instead of his own accomplishments. Every year you see these one and done teams like a Boise St here or a Kansas St there or even Notre dame this past year that show up and then disappear for 5-10 years. He has kept LSU football relevant his entire career here while running a fairly clean program and not to mention owning the second highest graduation rate only second to Vandy. I am a fairly new tiger (2010 alum) so I can't appreciate the decades before of disaster but I can appreciate a good football coach and a good time to be a tiger. As long as he'll have us, i say we should be happy to have him. Take it for what its worth, I'll sleep good tonight

We are the laughing stock of the football world to raise this coach's salary. They are cheering that he will stay at LSU. Sad, but I hear it all the time. Course I am in Bama land.

Spot on. Jealousy of Saban and Bama is the root of the bellyaching, not so much Les himself. If Saban weren't in the same division of the same conference as LSU, then Les would likely be the king of the SEC. Les can be frustrating at times but he has won 80% of his games. That is beautiful, no matter how ugly the wins come.
