Ok, a couple of quick notes boys and girls…first off, most of you probably saw the discussion in last week’s thread about altering the way the mulligans work next year. I am rather happy with the way they work currently; with the number of people who have started participating, the mulligans stretch out the contest to about half of the EPL season which allows for two contests per year at this time. If the contest continues to grow and lasts longer than half of the season, I’d probably be in favor of changing the mulligans or doing away with them altogether. But, I’d like to hear everyone’s opinions either way before I make a final decision. Also, as you’ll see below, the matches next week are on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then there is a quick turnaround with another round of matches on Saturday and Sunday. Previously, I have skipped the midweek matches, but I chose to include them this time and will have the following weekends matches up as quickly after the Wednesday afternoon matches conclude as possible (provided that Glassman doesn’t get me absolutely crippled during the Arsenal v Liverpool match). So, just as a heads up, please keep an eye out for the quick turnaround going into the weekend following next week’s midweek matches.

The rules are as follows:
- Select a team from the matches listed for that week.
- Home wins and away draws provide immunity to the next round. Home losses, away losses and home draws result in elimination.
- Each team may only be used once during the competition with the exception of the mulligan round. Teams used in the mulligan round are still available to be used later in the contest.
-Failure to pick a winner by the deadline each week will result in either the loss of a mulligan or elimination from the contest.

Going with Newcastle this week. Hoping they can at least get the away draw to preserve my mulligan and get them out of the way so I'm not relying on them in future weeks.

I'd also like to thank everybody that has responded to my request in the op about discussing changes to the mulligan. Your opinions will go a long way in making my decision much easier. Oh wait.....none of you lazy assholes bothered to address it, at all.

I agree with your thoughts on getting rid of the mulligan if the competition grows. No one wants to end tying for the win.

That being said, I'll take Chelsea

Just leave it the same. I like the challenges going on as long as possible, since there are only two a year.

I'm just used to looking at the matchups and picking my team... I never read any of the other stuff.

But I like how it is now, but if it does make it longer than 1/2 the season than I'd be down for a change

I like the Mulligan, but agree if it means we don't get two competitions it might have to go.
