Charlie's Seafood is my first choice in Harahan. The "dirty boy" is pretty tasty....a pistolette roll filled with the meaty parts of dirty rice.

Ate at Charlies yesterday, very solid choice. Elmwood park is exploding with new restaurants across the board

I thought it was terrible. Dry and flavorless. Best thing I had was the lemonade/ice tea drink.

When I had it the bread was cold and as hard as a rock. Personally, I would go next door to subway instead

this is very surprising. they always put my bread face open on the grill a few minutes to warm it up.

They make a Cuban sandwich burger on Wednesday?!? I just got the Cuban yesterday.

Looks like I know where I'm eating for lunch next Wednesday. I do know their dirty turkey poboy and hamburger steak on Thursday are great specials (and their great Cuban is always tasty).

Also can't argue against Seither's and Taqueria Corona either.

the dirty turkey poboy is fricking legit. rivals Koz's bbq ham poboy (add provolone) as my favorite poboy in Harahan.

Seither's is good stuff. Not a fan of T. Corona though.
