If you could only go to one festival in 2013; which is it?

So which is the one for you? why? Why should someone else go?

Is Coachella the mecca?

Bonnaroo
Stagecoach
Waka
ACL
Electric Forest
Vibes
Bumbershoot
Voodoo
Mountain Jam
Jazzfest
SXSW
Ultra
AllGood
Burning Man
WE
Thunder on the Mountain
Country Stampede
Calf Fry
MusicFest at Steamboat (which just happened)

I'm not even going to consider Lollapalooza or EDC.

There's almost too many festivals these days.

I don't know this year's lineups, but typically Coachella and Pitchfork appeal the most too me.

JazzFest... because its in NOLA and always a fun time in the city

I typically don't like going to see indie bands at festivals so I wouldn't go to the others (although I did got to NXNW a couple of years ago, but they are mainly club shows)...

I dont really even care who is playing at Jazz Fest, usually stay away from the big stages anyway... oh, and the Thursday on the 2nd week is the best day to go!

I like Bonnaroo's lineup the best so far. Lots of commercial acts, but they're acts that I don't hate.

Bonnaroo also has the RV rental package where the RV's are already set up and ready to go. I like primitive camping, but not with 10K wooks, no running water or showers.

Having our lil firm selling event sponsorships and working in entertainment media in the past I've gotten a bit spoiled to the perks of having extra access.

I may drive down to Waka for one night show or something, but there's nothing appealing to me about getting blazed for 4 days straight with no access to the modernized world. When I have that solace time I prefer it out in the woods back home with my dogs, a rifle, and maybe a fishing pole.

I have been to ACL, Bonnaroo, Lolla, SXSW, Waka, and Jezz Fest throughout the years but Jazz Fest is by far the most fun. The food is stupid good, its less stressful, and there is never a lull in performances because the small names are usually big Cajun/Zydeco/Jazz artists and the Gospel tent may be the funnest place in the world.

Id go to Jazz Fest just to eat. If I had to pick one besides that I'd go with Glastonbury or Telluride

I hate festivals, but generally coachella, sxsw, or lolla tend to get the best bands.

generally they have awful lineups and it's basically the worst way to see a band/artist. I'll give a little credit to festivals in that they turn people on to bands/artists they've never heard before and can be a jumping point, but really it's just the worst way to see a concert. festivals are a necessary evil, and for the most part they just have shitty bands and a lot of awful people to be around.
