a. ironic
b. can anyone who believes in forciable sterilization of women with more than one child call anyone else a "misognist"?

Haven't chatted with him in a few years, but I knew a biology professor at the University of Kentucky who believed the same thing.

Where'd you get that garbage, because it's clearly not from anything I've ever written?

So are you pro-life then? You beleive that we are allowing women to commit legal murder at a certain point? You are ok with that?

Hell until 2007 women were allowed to deliver the baby up to the head before a Dr killed it. That was considered a "woman's right" and a-holes like you supported that crazy shite.

There have been babies born at 21 weeks and survive till this day. Yet there are 1.3% of all abortions in this country made after 21 weeks.

Thats 1.3 % of 1.21 MILLION. Thats almost 15000 babies that were killed.

I fall on the pro-choice side, but I can respect the pro-lifer's opinion.

However, to think that this is a good idea is idiotic.

As is apparent to anyone who actually pays attention to reproductive issues.

If I can cut off my finger and it grows into another person then HELL YES WE SHOULD!

"I don't consider cells to be persons"

What is a person then if not a bunch of cells?

I'm sure you can dig up a few of Hitler's scientist to agree with the UK professor and you. Then you can preference every sentence with, "Scientist agree" whenever you debate/discuss this topic.

According to Mr. Ryan even a newly fertilized egg that hasn't attached to the uterine wall should legally be considered a "person".

How science still hasn't trumped the witchcraft of religion baffles me.

Because science is dry. There is more to this world, morality, and the human condition than what can be defined by science.

Im on the pro-life side but not on the religous side for it.

I believe there needs to be a set of qualifications applied to a fetus before abortion is permitted. If an abortion occurs within weeks of fertilization ok. And yes that goes against Ryans bill. But he is at least trying to set a benchmark to life. Liberals have set that benchmark way too high at birth being the definition. At that point the fetus feels pain. WTF were we ever thinking allowing third trimester abortions.

My belief is that once the placenta takes over abortion should be off limits. That would be 10-12 weeks.

I can definitely agree with this.

But this bill literally cannot pass without de facto banning in vitro fertilization.

This thread should have ended with this post:

meh...no more unconstitutional than proposed gun controls, subverting bankruptcy law for union benefit, assassinating US citizens, requiring the purchase of a commercial product, warrantless wire taps, and on, and on...

SCOTUS said late term abortion did not violate roe v wade in 2007. So they didnt set the limit at birth. The laws banning late terms were allowed to stand. Gonzales v. Carhart

There is no set guideline. Scotus only cares about due process for women to obtain an abortion.

This is a terrible bill.

I hate how black and white this issue has become. I think it is equally ignorant to think life begins at conception as it is tho think it begins at birth.

I am as opposed to single cell personhood as i am to third trimester abortions.

I am not sure when exactly you can continue a life, but it has to be more than a few cells, and much less than a almost fully formed child.

Thats why I put the bar at 10-12 weeks when the mother is no longer necessary outside of being a host for the fetus. The placenta is doing the stuff the mother was doing prior.
I dont get to pass the laws though but at least with his bill the murder of the helpless isnt legalized.

So, you're only ACTING stupid?

First, there are differences between cells and a zygote. Do you know what those differences are?

Now, I want YOU to do it, answer the questions.

But you can't. You are just another religious zealot....with "beliefs"
