I'm actually the opposite. I think the Foo Fighters are just sort of a generic rock band. I feel like I've grown out of them, while I keep finding new depth to Nirvana. I'm happy Dave Grohl got paid, though.

And of course, for me, it's Sonic Youth.

I don't near listen to them like I used to, in fact, now that I think about it, they are actually becoming one of those bands

Everlong is one of my top 3 fav songs though, so I will ALWAYs listen to that one.

The first FF's album is awesome.

I kinda wish Probot didn't fade out. Him and Lemmy were pretty awesome together.

This... I usually love all the music my dad listens to, and this is his favorite band. But, I just can't really get into them.

You really have to enjoy Jerry's style of guitar and the way they jam for a number of minutes. It's something that can take a lot of time to appreciate and its not for everyone by any means but when it clicks, you know it. Once I listened to Europe 72 and American Beauty I never looked back

Bands that you think you should like

This is a strange thread- you either like a band or you don't...I think the real issue is why you don't like a band that THE MEDIA keeps pushing, and you sit back & say I am sorry, but they just don't do it for me, and this also applies to types of music. For example, I do not like rap, & don't see how anyone who takes music seriously can accept it, but I guess that is me. Same thing for today's country music & pop music- just not happening. Beyoncé? Kayne West? Pure crap...

Mumford whips me to death, really liked their first album but cringe when I hear them now, kind of like Kings of Leon, who was my favorite band after Youth & Young manhood and A-ha Shake.

Yeah, and I liked Tweedy a lot in Uncle Tupelo. It seems to have worked for him, though.

I don't get women who like One Direction.

No emotion when they sing like Adele

Mumford and Sons for me. It's completely bizarre considering some of the other bands I listen to.

...would be on my list had I not seen the Austin City Limits. He changed his vocal style from the studio versions for the better. Love his work now. Especially live stuff, and I generally hate live versions of songs.

I know. I like so many bands that are similar, and even like the Ben Nichols solo album I have, but for some reason just cant get into them
