Is this that popular of a round? I knew I would have trouble finding .223 rounds but not the 308! Cabelas had none! Not even the high dollar rounds. For what is the 308 round used?

I have searched all over for Hornady 308 superformance 165 sst's.
Out everyhwere but I did find a case being delivered at cabelas right as i walked up.
Got 7 boxes. That entire case sold within 15 seconds.
