Anyone have one?
Similar build to the Yeti's and Engel's, but $100 cheaper by not paying for the name.

No local distributers though, so unable to discern the quality.

They're evidently big in the midwest and the mountains. The few reviews I have found have been favorable. They're not "certified bear resistant", but thats not much concern to me anyway.

Post a review if you pull the trigger!

Why waste money if you don't have to?

I noticed on their Facebook page that they have a Coupon Code "Keeper" for free shipping. May want to call em up and see if you can add it!

Don't know if this company will be the one. But it's inevitable that someone starts marketing a cooler that's as good as a Yeti, for half the price, and will still make a huge profit.

I chuckle at your Canyon cooler much like I chuckle at a grizzly thinking he can get in my yeti.... So if I ever encounter a grizzly here in North Alabama well I know my beer and bologna and crackers are safe and well protected

Agreed.

The high end cooler market has a lot more players than most people realize, with more popping up every month seemingly.

Yeti
Engel
K2
Grizzly
Canyon
Brute
Pelican
Igloo Yukon
Moeller

They all are pretty similar with roto-molded plastic shells and 2-3" industrial foam insulation. (Except for the Yukon, I believe which is not roto-molded) Looking at the components, every single one of these companies is making a killing with these coolers selling for the prices they are at. Hopefully with more players and more competition, the prices will be driven down.

If the absence of those 4 letters result in my cooler not being targeted by thieves, then I can deal with that.

Indeed. I hear those Grizzlies in Alabama are pretty out of control.

Agree.

I didn't know Pelican was making coolers now.
Makes sense.

Picked up a 60qt K2 for about $100 less than a 65qt yeti and it is about the same price of a 35at yeti i think..... I'll will be honest, it is no where near as "finished" as the yeti. But, it is as stout as a yeti. I like the latches on the K2 as well with the rope handles.

Pelican makes damn good stuff.
I like those latches better than the Yeti latches.

I went and looked at them at Superior Bait & Tackle, and that was my first thought as well. The rough and more square edges didn't look nearly as good as the finish of the Yeti sitting next to it.

In pictures, the Canyon coolers look clean but you never really know until you get a good look in person. Same with the Brute model someone mentioned earlier- maybe he can chime in again and post some pics of the workmanship.

Posted my info on the store locator feature of their website. Got an email from their director of sales with his cell number. Just got off the phone with him. Fantastic customer service, three year warranty and 20 percent discount that he is currently offering on 60, 90, and 160's in tan. I got the 90 with shipping for $290 and change
