A breath of fresh air: Fishing rod/reel thread (Posted on 12/18/12 at 10:10 am)
What's your favorite rod/reel? Hoping to add any to the collection this Christmas? What will be your next purchase?
My favorite combo that I have is probably my Revo SX on a 7' MH Dobyns Savvy rod. Next thing I need is a new spinning reel to put on my catfish/bull red pole, saltwater finally ate up the cardinal 104 I had on there. Something cheap again.

quote: 40 bearings?
It was a lame joke. Lew's reels always seem to have about double the bearings as any reel in the same price range, and if I'm not mistaken, are all metal. For $50 I figure I can determine what the catch is.

I think I left it leaning against my jeep at my buddy's house one day and I pulled off without it. Was probably laying on the ground by the sidewalk and got scooped. To think I defend this place!
