| Drew Brees still leads the N.F.L. In.... (Posted on 12/10/12 at 10:12 pm)
Most touchdown passes 32 and YDS/G 310 so the guy has thrown 18 int. well nobody's PeRfECt lol. Their just shell shocked right now and with good reason it's been a tough year but I think we'll be back oh and he still is ranked ahead of Eli Manning 16th in passer rating at 11th

People saying he is having a bad year are fricking dumb. An off year, sure.

By his standards, he's having a bad year. He'd tell you as much.

By his standards, by most others he's having a career year. I think the criticism has gotten out of hand.

IMO, he's not having a bad year. I think he would say the same. He's had a bad stretch in the last 3 games, and he would tell you that. Prior to the last few games he was doing very well. Think about it, 9 interceptions in 3 games.. if he had even 7 less than that, he'd only have 11 interceptions.

I've been in that Dome for his entire Saints career and he's having an off/bad year (however you want to phrase it) He's off in warmups. He's overthrowing receivers in drills. In past years pregame was like watching a passing clinic. Granted, our receivers drop the balls in warmups too. In the games he is throwing it to 80 when he's triple-covered. He's throwing it high, leading to tipped INT's. He's is off by the slightest of margins and with this offense, you can't be off and win. No doubt in my mind this doesn't happen with Sean in here. The dude is allowed a bad/off year. I'm not bashing him. Its just my observation. All will be better next year, I have the ultimate confidence in that

We know your not bashing him and yes he's been very un-Brees like at times but we'll be fine I was in the Dome for the 49'ers game endzone seats and we had the Mo-Jo going into the half and after that pick it just seemed like the wheels came off for the season lol

I'm not saying he's not having an off year, just that he's not having a bad year.

He didn't spend as much time with his receivers in the offseason as he has in offseasons past due to his contract situation. With that done with he should be back on target next season.

Well he's not having a great year. I honestly think not being here during the offseason has hurt him. I thought at this point it really wouldn't but it has IMO. He's just a little high, a little low, a little late, or a little early way more often than he's been in the past. I don't expect to see him have another bad stretch like this next season.

I don't know about this, he's had mostly the same receivers for the past 3-4 years, and a couple of them since 2006. Hard to believe they wouldn't be on the same page by now....

agreed. I dont think it was the offseason. a lot of the tipped INTs were catchable. only a hand full were flat out bad throws. I have no problem with that. And we still see the him making the throws that only he and a few others can make. Put me in the "not worried" camp. ..although i will say, Brees is the kinda guy whos always followed a bad performance with an incredible one. When he bounces back, he's gonna wreck shite.

Drew can thrown 10 more ints and I'd still love him! He gave us the performance of a lifetime in the Super Bowl. That's all I will ever need.

The majority of the criticism comes from the bad taste he left in everyone's mouth from his enormous contract. If he hadn't held out like he did for all that money, then had the season he's having, the criticism wouldn't be nearly as harsh. But like I've been saying, when you hold out when your team needed you the most and cost your team some other players bc of your overwhelming contract...you're going to get backlash when you come out and have 5 interception type games and are constantly throwing picks. He will bounce back next season. But for now, he has to endure the flak he's getting.
