Get the automatic,if you get a manual gate, after the first month it will just stay open all the time

We just got one. Or two rather. Two ten foot sections with the automated arm on each. I wanted it for the same reasons you do, but keep it shut and locked all the time for safety reasons. It's awesome. Everyone has to go to the front door, no sneaking around in the back. Keep the clicker in my car like a garage door opener.
4500 I think.

Get a GTO Pro electric opener on your gate. Solar or hard wired.

You can program the code directly into your Mercedes or Yukon XL.

My iron gate was about $200/foot total including the electronics. But it is solid ironwork.
