so a buddy of mines friend went down to the wax today to work on their blinds, his friend told him there was an old guy in his 70s blinded down with 7 dozen decoys smoking the ducks

so he rode up to him and asked him if he knew the season was closed, the guys response...."oh, I didn't know"

must be senile, you roll up to the launch and don't notice the lack of trucks and don't even think twice about it

That or he just really doesn't care. Retired, not that mush longer left i his life maybe. Probably doesn't care if he gets in trouble with WLF

Splits are idiotic anyway. Duck season should start a month later than it does and not have a split.

I had to argue without brother and father last week for an hr about this. But then again, we hunt in Evangeline parish which has parts of all 3 zones so its a bit confusing.

My Gramps killed a Big Buck, and got excited, and started dragging it in the wrong direction. He got lost, and we were looking for him...everyone. Game Warden found him near a road, sitting on deer, dog-arse tired from dragging the deer all day. The deer wasn't tagged, and the game Warden asked him about it. My gramps, according to the Warden, said he glared at him and said,"I'm afraid I'm going to have to throw him back". Gramps done quit giving a crap at that age. Warden let him go, and was Laughing his butt off...

My grandfather did the same thing when he was terminal with cancer. That man stacked up sprigs like a boss. He said "what they going to do? Hospital and Drs got most of my money, l'll be in the ground by the time the govt gets around to setting a court date, so f it, get me more shells son."
