Wanted to do this last week, but nevertheless....
5 years ago on December 1, 2007, a gloriously mustached man on crutches went in to Morgantown and shocked the nation, catapulting LSU into the BCS Championship. It was as if Les called Dave before the Arkansas game and said "Hey Dave, I want to be the first to win it all with 2 losses. Can you beat WVU?"
THANK YOU DAVE! WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU

At first I wasn't thinking and was wondering how this was LSU related.. but for that win.. He deserves his own day, even around here.

I remember being in a bar in Atlanta after the SECCG and watching the end of that game. It was like watching the stars align. It was amazing.

Same here. Went to the SECCG and I'm thinking 'Good for LSU, but too bad we didn't beat Arkansas last week. No way Pitt wins.'
On the way home on MARTA, a guy is in the back of the train updating everyone on the game, so everyoen starts getting exciting.
Get home just in time for the 4th quarter to see Pitt pull it off. Still can't believe they won that game.
