I am talking about putting it on the lake side of 90. Not near that far down.

Yes

Much better option would be to run a fresh water through Maurepas WMA and make that healthy again...
They should have a nearly release of river water into the area on the far western end of the lake, would help out that area immensely.

I thought he was dudley's partner
Idk could be wrong. This mad rush went down during my teens and I had other things occupying my brain space at that time. But I sure as hell knew how to jig

And you think that the north side of Lake P sucks

If you want to do that then you could also limit Venice and Grand Isle fishing to the near shore waterways as well couldn't you? But no,people launch out of Venice and head off all sorts of directions to find fish. Some running for 100 miles.
Same for Grand Isle.

Hahaha I know. Lake P is my baby though. You're screwing with my childhood.
Seriously though. the north side/causeway/twin span, rigolets are very productive trout fisheries. You just have to know how to fish them.

I will agree with this. The only bad thing about the Lake is it is the roughest body of water you'll ever fish, and that thing can kick up so quick

It doesnt suck but its no where near a hot spot. How many times do you see advertisement to come fish the lake? How about the GI, VEN areas. And when those I mean the majority of Plaq, La Fourche, Terrebonne parishes

there IS a pretty big saltwater sportfishing population in the lake, and there are already places where bass can be caught around the lake

same old argument...
bayou manchac - used to connect to the river.... voila...
several other places river water easily reached the ponchartrain basin....
as for blocking or altering mother natures flow.. isn't that what got us in this mess in the first place?
