First of all, I know I can be pretty negative at times, but it is complete bullshite that those of you who can go to the game, won't.

It's also bullshite to call this game meaningless. A bowl game is always a great experience, as most of us remember times when we didn't get any post season play.

I bet the seniors and guys playing their last game as LSU Tigers will remember this game the rest of their lives. I bet those guys will relish the opportunity and not be "embarrassed" or "disinterested."

Please, don't become Auburn fans. Right now, some of you are showing your insecurity and little brother syndrome. Nick Saban is doing things at Bama that not even Bear Bryant could do. And this is with a harder landscape. However, we're faring better against him than any other coach is right now. Don't let their championships define us.

One last thing. Anytime we go 9-3 or better in this league, it's a success. Just the occasional SEC championship and 10 wins season is nice. And we've gotten that.

Remember....other teams have just as high hopes for their recruits as us. Other teams have just as good of facilities adn recruits as what we get. It's not easy to win this league, and what Nick Saban has been able to do has almost never been matched in this league. Especially in modern times. (1980-present)

I'm pumped, because this Clemson team has an offense to test us and this is a chance to springboard into a great 2013 season. so if work and $ allow, go to the game. It IS embarrassing to no show. I guarantee A&M would show up for the peach bowl.

I think LSU will have a good turnout in terms of number of fans. this is a good opportunity for poor people like me to go to a bowl game when the tickets should be cheaper because of low demand.

we win this game and we win in style it does a lot going in to next season for rankings, recruiting, media coverage, all that stuff. people need to get the frick over it. fans boycott the game, team looks like shite, and it will all be espn's fault when they bring up the ugly performance and turnout against clemson, right?

No, it won't.

Bowl game tickets are pre-ordered, and as long as LSU keep pre-ordering a bunch of tickets to most bowl games, not showing for this game will have zero effect on future games.

if I didn't have to work Tuesday and I didn't live in TX, then I would definitely go.

I don't completely disagree with your premise but I tend to reject your conclusion.

If we travel poorly, that is a factor in bowl selections. However, given that we get passed over for the top bowls routinely, I'm not really sure it will affect our future bowl selections. 2005, 2010, and this year are prime examples of how LSU has gotten the tough end of the selection process. It had nothing to do with the way Tiger fans travel.

The better point is, for all these people who argue that the SEC sked doesn't matter and that people who want an equitable solution are "whining," just know that UGA skated on a soft schedule, while LSU had to go and play Florida (which we do every year). The East champion got a break and got a better bowl selection. TAMU got a better bowl selection. USC got a better game. Good thing TAMU drew Mizzou and USC drew Arkansas, right? Hate for them to have to play an additional tough team.

The schedule, as always, matters. Glad everyone likes the Florida game (I do, too), but that is an extra hurdle that will often bite our team and send them to the wrong Atlanta

Yup. Say we lose or win in typical LSUGly fashion. Then, these same fans will claim media bias whenever A&M, USCe, UF, UGA, Bama, and ND are ranked ahead of us in the preseason.

They see the turnout and low tv ratings, it will.

2005 is the only time I can say we got fricked over, but it worked out awesome for us, didn't it?

How did we get screwed in 2010?

LSU's "low turnout" is still better than most of the teams you tend to think we will lose out on a better bowl to. Slotting is much more important than those factors. Thank the SEC for that parachute. Your fears are largely unfounded.

We went from lock for the sugar to Cotton (just because people like the slot now, LSU should have been slotted in one of the Florida top tier bowls).

Guess who ended up in the Cap1 Bowl. Good thing we travel so well that we were immunized from that, right?

Sometimes, that's how the schedule turns out. The only way to prevent that is to play 13 conference games.

Remember in 2002-2005 when UGA had to play a tough Auburn team and we had to play Zook UF and Urban's rebuilding UF team?

USC would've went peach, but since they just played clemson, that's understandable. Besides, is the outback REALLY that much better than the Peach?

A&M deserves cotton clearly. They are the hotter team and finished strong. Plus, they will bring in higher ratings and a heisman player. We bring in a sourpuss fan base and a boring style of football. It's just the way it is.

If we qualify for a BCS bowl, then it shouldnt matter

If we contniue to fight for the Chick bowl every other year, then we have a problem with a coach that makes $4.5 milliom

Isn't your premise that if we travel well that will get us a better bowl. Now it appears you think that factor is irrelevant.

That is why I reject your conclusion. QED.

It's affected now and LSU sells out their allotment every year.

Bottom line is this line of thinking isn't correct. Travel is a factor, but LSU has been getting a tough draw since Les has been here.

2010: LSU finishes third in the west. Auburn to the Title, Arkansas (lulz) to the Sugar, Bama to the Cap1, LSU to the cotton.

Bama was SECW4. That is not how they are supposed to be slotted. I know they get to pick, but no one is picking LSU.

Holy shite...this seriously is the most intelligent thing I have seen posted on here in a very long time. A LOT of fans are judging what we do in comparison to what the Nicktator is doing over in Alabama. And that is just not fair to our coach, players, and team. We have been beating the shite out of 110 or so teams for a good while now, but it is not good enough for our so called fans because of what Alabama is doing. You people need to get your heads from around Nicky's knob and appreciate what you have.
