After the beating last night and the whooping either lsu or Georgia will put on them in their bowl game you have to assume browns gonna be canned. Plus the fact that guys like Gundy and Patterson are open to leaving

As much as it pains me to write this, mack prolly comes back for one more year. And write it down right now, Stoops will crush mack AGAIN. Will lose to WVU, and kstate again, and also to lose some other game. Will go 8-4 8-5 at the most. nobody in this world does less with all that talent.Well him and mark richt. It is shameful that deloss cant see what everybody else sees. It makes me sick at my gut. I can barely watch this team..

he cant right this ship in one year

the blanket of protection that Mack gets from DeLoss & Powers is more frayed now than ever. However, assuming he doesnt step down, he will return for one more season. As it stands now, it feels like next year will be his last, based on what I'm hearing, but of course theres no real way of knowing.

I hope Mack does enough to stay around a few more years - like some 9-2 type records. Not good enough to really win but not bad enough to be fired. I love Longhorn failure.

Mack's buyout drops by $1 million on 1-1-2013. I would not make any assumptions about his career longterm. If Boise' Petersen takes another job, you might assume that Mack gets 1 more year. If it looks like Mack is in trouble this year, I guarantee you that someone will have been in Petersen's ear before he moves to another job. Keep in mind that Alamo bowl is prior to 1-1-2013.

Hey, don't be using logic when discussing Miles around here.

Hopefully they keep him around for a few more years, they are the school I'm afraid Patterson could leave TCU for. I don't think he'd be a good fit there though because at Texas you have to be able to pamper the underachieving 5 star recruits and Patterson will let the best player play no matter what they were rated coming out of high-school.

I met and had dinner with Mack Brown over the summer in the Bahamas, I tell you, I can see him retiring soon. I got the impression he was getting tired of the grind.

i think he should be forced to retire...I think its 50/50 they'll go after Saban, and if Bama wins it, I think he takes it for 8 Million...Saban likes building not maintaining, and to win titles at 3 different schools would solidify his legacy. Plus he has a track record of leaving every 5 years....They have the money, resources and an easier road to the NT...Not saying it will happen, but it wouldnt surprise me to see it happen
