Source very close to #Tulane says today's 1 p.m. press conference is to announce its entry into the Big East conference.

I am so going watch Villanova at the newly renovated Fogleman arena.
I'm only mentioning Villanova because I have no clue who else will still be left in the Big East after this year.

They are adding Boise State.
The Big East makes no sense.

Good move for them. I like the direction CJ has the program moving. (I know 2-10 wasn't a great start, but he was left with a pretty shitty slate by Toledo.. played a ton of young guys). He's brought in a great recruiting class and has another one lined up for this year as well. With the new stadium coming eventually, Tulane seems to be making the right moves.

Once UConn and Louisville leave, it will basically be CUSA again. East Carolina, Houston, Memphis, Cincinnati, Temple, UCF, etc.

Is this a good move? Any possibility of joining one I the super conferences in the next 10 years?

Makes sense for Tulane. Less so for the Big East, IMHO.
New Orleans is a potential market for them to help ease the loss of Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and New York, but they won't exactly be getting a lot of recruits from Louisiana for their various schools.

Memphis and SMU are headed to the Big East.
USM, not so much. They'd have been an asset in football until this clusterfrick of a season, having gone .500 or better since roughly the early 90s.
