Yes it is. No need for an a-hole response. I was asking you a question. Is that not allowed on a discussion board?

LSU fans would fill more hotels, eat at more restaurants, and provide more overall tourism dollars to the city of Dallas than A&M would. Bowl games are not about one "sexy" player.

You're acting as if A&M couldn't fill the seats or something

IMO, this LSU team honestly should be thankful to get any hi-profile, non BCS bowl at all. Our 10-2 is a shaky record, at best. We've all see our offense most of this season. And we've seen our defense take a late-season nose-dive now, too. So let's all be glad for whatever the bowl is that invites us.

For me, regardless of who/where we play:
Best case - LSU wins
Worst case - LSU loses
No in-betweens...

Who's being an a-hole? You asked me what "insider information" I have. Is that not allowed an equal response?

Not sure if trolling, or serious.

I wouldnt say our record is a shaky 10-2 (I dont even know what that means). I will say that we have limped to the finish line, team is worn arse out. I expect a refreshed dominant team in our bowl game.

You've got that category wrapped up. I'm just discussing football.

One of my friends is a die hard ATM guy who goes some Aggies site all the time and the feeling over there is that The Cotton Bowl has been desirous of an ATM-UT match up all year. Not sure if they have anything to back that up or not.

I also don't think at this point UT has a good enough resume' to deserve a CB invite. Alamo Bowl might be their best bet.

If OSU beats Baylor and UT loses to K-State, UT would be a firm 4th place in the conference. If TCU beats OU, they would be tied for 4th having lost to the team they are tied with (TCU).

Of course, rankings are only part of the story.

People keep saying UT, but man I can't even fathom them being in the CB. If they lose to K State this week, which I assume they will, they will finish 8-4, and they just aren't very good.

Which is why I don't think they will get a decent bowl. If OSU beats Baylor, which is a big "if", They will be ranked and have a better record.

I wish the SEC would dump the Cap One Bowl and send a message to the idiots here in Orlandeaux. City has been fighting to fix up the stadium for years and people/politicians just will not do it. We are getting a new Performing Arts Center instead. Yippee!!! At least they put in field turf, but the rest is a dump.

i don't think so. there are tons of tejas fans that would want this game (it's not a rematch tho). the admin at tejas was incredibly butt hurt when a&m left them but the fans want to play them and want the annual turkey game with them back. as far as the tejas legislature, i don't think it's a big issue. there are just too many folks that don't follow either school for this to be a paramount issue. a&m has a great chance of going to the cotton but of course jff is highly sought after is other bowls too.

Of course aTm is jizzing for a game against Texas. Aggies want to show UT how much they've grown up and don't miss the big12, and they finally have a team capable of whipping UT.

I understand the thinking but at the same time I think they would prefer cap one. Give them a sec bowl and not the same big 12 bowl they had been playing for all those years. Plus cap one would like to have the heisman finalist with other options for avail for cotton.

I agree. I'm just saying I'd prefer Clemson at night over Northwestern at 11 am.

No doubt. I don't want an 11am game at all. I kind of think the Peach is better than CapOne bc it's a night game.
