This has always been one of my all time favorite pieces of solo work on electric guitar. Beginning around 1:41

One more. Classic song, but this version is largely unheard of. It is the sickest version of this song ever recorded.
Do not listen to this while you are driving.

Poles Apart - Pink Floyd
Very underrated album. Definitely not as good as their prime, but a damn fine album.
Blue Oyster Cult - Veteran of the Psychic Wars
Starts out a little slow, but give it time. I promise you won't be disappointed. Buck Dharma leaves it all out there.
~5:00 mark is when it really picks up.

Pretty much anything by Vito Bratta
Pink Floyd obviously has well known solos, but this is one of my favorites. High Hopes The solo comes in at 5:05. Gilmour is just tasteful, one of very few that really know how to let the notes sing.
Another one would be Since I've Been Loving You from Led Zeppelin
LINK. It's really raw. You hear some mistakes in it, but the dude is playing out of his mind and just feeling it.
This entire video is incredible. And out of all of the Stevie Ray Vaughan songs, I think this is probably my favorite. Tin Pan Alley - Stevie Ray Vaughan LINK This is damn near perfect.
Another would be Dire Straits Down To The Waterline. Not a big solo, but really well executed. The entire guitar work in this song is fricking sick.

He always does! I love going to see BOC whenever they are playing locally at the clubs. They are in my top 5 all-time favorite bands!
Eric Clapton's solo on Layla is very inspired

Love that one. They were all good musicians - even ol Cetera!
Here's a tune from VIII - their last great album from the Kath era IMO.

This is a Queen song (and solo) that no one talks about - I know it's one that Brian May wishes people would have noticed:
Dead On Time
Absolutely "shite-hot" in my book.

Deacon was a good bassist.
