Assuming Bama beats Auburn and LSU beats Arkansas, what happens to Bama/LSU if Georgia beats Bama in the SEC Championship?

I know this is probably Germans but I would love for LSU to get the Sugar Bowl and Bama to fall out of the BCS altogether, any shot???

No one knows. I would think Bama would be undesirable at that point and the Sugar Bowl does not want teams that don't want to be there.

If you want LSU in the Sugar than FSU will have to beat Florida. The SECCG outcome probably won't matter.

I realize Florida has to lose, that is understood for LSU to have ANY shot at a BCS game!

You think that Bama losing to their last two "real opponets" W Carolina and Auburn hardly count would outdraw LSU?

You never know how these things will play out but I seriously doubt if the Sugar will select the SECCG loser over LSU.

Again, that's assuming UF loses. Otherwise the gators would get the nod IMO.

Bama goes to Sugar Bowl and gets arse handed to it by Utah or some such.

Fixed. Bama's got juice, but not that much.

ETA: Caveat that FSU beats UF

No, if Bama loses in the SECCG they're, in all likelihood out of the BCS picture.

Probably super crazy, but any chance that the final BCS standings have something like:
1. ND
2. Bama
3. UF
4. LSU
(Kstate and Oregon both lose again)

I know top 4 are in BCS, but with 3 SEC teams, does LSU miss out this way still?

That's a good question. Conferences are limited to two teams but should this somehow play out then by rule more than two SEC teams would make it. I reallly don't know how it would go.

No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final BCS Standings.

here's the answer....

Since there are so many SEC teams in the top 12, does the Big East even get an AQ? Don't you have to be in the top 12 regardless of whether or not you're a conference winner? Or is that just ND?

Why don't more people here realize that A&M has a better shot at getting to a BCS bowl than LSU does?
A&M will sell out their allotment of tickets, just like LSU will.
They, however, have a heisman frontrunner that will generate a lot of national attention to that bowl.
There is nothing LSU has to offer that is better than A&M, even though LSU is definitely the better team.

I think, with regard to every other BCS bowl, you're entirely correct in that assessment. However there is an obvious special connection between LSU and the Sugar. Since LSU defeated A&M I can't imagine them taking the Aggies over the Tigers.

But there are always surprises involved with these selections.

South Carolina will go the Capital One Bowl if they beat a one loss Clemson.

TAMU will play in the Cotton Bowl against Texas for political reasons.

LSU will end up in Atlanta for the Chick Fil A Bowl.

I hope I'm wrong, but at least I wouldn't have to travel to see us in a bowl game

My fear but it looks like it could end up this way. It would really be unfair but it is what it is. We beat USCe and TAMU on the field, lose in close games to Bama and Fla (top 5 ranked teams)...and get sent to the Chicken Sandwich bowl.
