LSU will end up in Atlanta for the Chick Fil A Bowl.

I think that this is a lot more likely than most people think, even if we win on Friday. There are just too many SEC teams with 10-2 or better records. I can't blame the Cotton Bowl if they take A&M over us to play Texas.

The big question is, will very many LSU fans follow the team to Atlanta to play in a 3rd tier bowl game? We'd likely play Clemson, who is a good team.

BCS - UGA/UA
Sugar - Loser of above or UF
Capital One - Team of above 3 not selected (geographic proximity and it's not a secret how much we hate that bowl after the 2009 season)
Cotton - A&M
Chick fil A - LSU/USC. Probably us.

Some poor ACC team is going to get its shite kicked in. Wish it could be a good matchup like the 2005 game was until it actually started.

Why don't more people here realize that A&M has a better shot at getting to a BCS bowl than LSU does?

Because they don't.

&M will sell out their allotment of tickets, just like LSU will.
They, however, have a heisman frontrunner that will generate a lot of national attention to that bowl.

LSU generates bigger TV ratings. We know this from, you know, looking at TV ratings. And the Heisman winner thing is such a non-starter. It obviously helped Baylor get selected for the Sugar Bowl last year, right? Oh, you mean they took a terrible Virginia Tech team instead?

There is nothing LSU has to offer that is better than A&M, even though LSU is definitely the better team.

Other than higher TV ratings and prestige, two things bowls notoriously care very little about...

CBS Sports is predicting LSU to the Sugar right now.

CBS

Lets focus on UGA getting past Tech this weekend before we worry about hypothetical situations

My fear but it looks like it could end up this way. It would really be unfair but it is what it is. We beat USCe and TAMU on the field, lose in close games to Bama and Fla (top 5 ranked teams)...and get sent to the Chicken Sandwich bowl.

It's an absolute monumental shame that ONE MORE FRICKING FIRST DOWN is all that is separating LSU from a #2 current ranking, trip to the SECCG, and a possible BCSNCG appearance..........and the Chick Fil A Bowl......
