Sugar won't pick A&M over LSU

Do you have a reasoning to support this?

If all things were "equal" and/or A&M had an edge, they probably would, but considering LSU will be ranked higher and won the head-to-head, there is little if any chance Sugar take A&M over LSU.

LSU has more ties to the Sugar Bowl, so given the opportunity when LSU has the "edge" LSU gets the nod, as they should. That said, if A&M were ranked higher and/or had won the head-to-head, they would definitely legitimately consider A&M, but that is not the case.

I'm struggling with convincing myself they won't pick A&M first. Or Georgia if they lose a close one to Bama.

The LSU brand is good but not great right now. Playing ole miss close will not help and beating Arky is no big feat.

I am not sure about that. A&M in their first year in the SEC making the Sugar Bowl would be a big deal in Texas.

The City of Nola sales a lot more hotel rooms, more people eat out etc when the out of state team comes in. Not to mention they have Johnny Football who they can hype.

I see the Sugar taking a strong look at A&M

Sure, they'll give em a look, but when all is said and done they'll take LSU ... too many bridges would be burned if they took A&M over LSU.

Don't worry... If it comes down to A&M-LSU and a Sugar choice, LSU will get chosen. Also keep in mind that A&M doesn't have a gimme against Mizzou, so don't be surprised if they eliminate themself from the conversation.

Again though, the #1 thing we need is the one least likely to happen.

Traditionally the favored team always wins the Bama-Auburn game. Absurdly small amount of upsets.

More hotel rooms assuming both teams travel well, eating out not so much. If LSU is in the game you get a lot more fans in town that don't even get into the game that also spend money in bars and restaurants.

Correct...Only way A&M had of getting chosen over LSU was to be ranked higher and/or won the head-to-head. When LSU has the edge, the Sugar will take LSU and always has.

Only stumbling block for Sugar at this point is Florida. FSU has to beat Florida and LSU is pretty much locked into the Sugar barring BCSCG chaos and the SEC getting left out.

Top4 would be nice, but it is not as important now that the Fiesta/Rose are out of play. I still want LSU in the Top4, though.

We root for:
-Auburn over Bama (obvious reasons)
-Texas over Kstate (assures we jump KState)
-OregonSt over Oregon (knocks Oregon out of conversation)
-UCLA over Stanford (in case Oregon beats OregonSt, UCLA win puts Oregon back in Pac12CG so they don't finish #3 and get auto-BCS)
-FSU over Florida
-Mizzou over A&M (unless Auburn beats Bama, then we root for A&M here)
-FSU to lose ACCCG
-USC over Notre Dame

There's one more week to go. Stanford beating Oregon pushed a&m down one spot.

Relax.
