All the talk about blops2, assassin's creed, etc. Anyone getting these for PC exclusively?

I don't own any consoles, just a mind-blowing PC.

And I'd like to use it to play with people I know, sort of.

There was a 20 page thread on our computers and junk in here somewhere.

I used to play, but Im a console gamer first so blops2 will consume my time. Add me on steam anyway though, bluebarracuda

How much did that watercooling setup run you? And how cool do your video cards run? I'm looking into it for my 2 7950s and 3570k

I bought the wildfire some time ago, and then recently bought the Samsung. I had an oracle virtualbox on it running Windows 8 to try it out, but that's gone now. The wildfire is just taking up a drive bay. I'm about to put it in an Acer case that I'm overhauling.

The pump and reservoir was about $120, the radiators about $120 total, then around $50 each for the blocks, $40 in fans, and $100 in tubing and fittings. Plus $40 for the fan controller, which is essential for non-PWM fans unless you want them loud all the time. Plus, whatever I paid for ramsinks and mosfet sinks for my cards. So, close to $600. XSPC sells kits with very good components. The cost of the cooling goes up significantly when you decide to cool crossfired cards.

There are ways to go cheap, but I was also concerned with aesthetics. Expensive fittings, multiple radiators so that I could optimize space in my case so that I didn't have to mount a big radiator on the outside of my case, plus that pump/reservoir combo is expensive.

I have a 3570k in my other PC with a closed loop cooler on (Antec Kuhler 920). It overclocks decently, but ivy bridges run hotter and have their limitations. My 2600k is at a safe overclock. I didn't like the vcore being at 1.5v for 5.0+ even if the temps never went above 60.

My 6950s are flashed with unlocked shaders. I overclocked them both to 900/1300 at 1.175v, and my load temps are 48C for card 1, and 52C for card 2. And that's during benchmarks/stress tests. They sit at 45-ish in games.

Card 1 is a reference design, perfect in every way. Card 2 is the dirt 3 edition Sapphire, and is crappy for overclocking. The OC i'm sitting on right now is this card's max. My reference design can do much better, but I decided to keep the cards even. No point in going higher, since obviously there's no game that these cards can't handle at max settings on my 1080p monitor.

If you have any questions about water cooling, I'm pretty much a walking encyclopedia.

Nice setup OP,

Is there a reason you went with 8gb of ram when everything else seems to be balls to the wall?

I'll hang up and listen

I only have 8gb right now. There really isn't much need for more than 8gb for gaming

Oops, that was a typo. I wrote 8GB, but I have 4 x4GB (16GB). It's true, 8GB is fine for gaming, but I use my PC for everything, including video/audio/photo editing, 3d modeling, virtual machines, etc.

Ahh, that makes much more sense. Couple guys from my work have something like 32gb. But they use half to make a ramdisk for shits and giggles.

With the price of ram these days, I'll probably up to 16gb over xmas... That shite is just so cheap and easy. Only if I can get a custom loop to get my big ole cooler master v6 gt out and open up some space

That's what I want to do, but dropping $600 isn't feasible right now

I want to get an Accelero Xtreme Cooler, but it won't fit since there's no space between the 2 cards. Water cooling is my only option at cooling them

I didn't know you had a second 7950 now. I have the Gigabyte 7950 and I am either going to get a second one along with that new AMP APU for my new build or sell the 7950 and go with two 660Ti. Not sure yet.
